- Multiple rounds of thunderstorms will bring severe weather and heavy rain threats to the area again from tonight through midday Saturday.
- Round 1: Tonight through Friday morning.
- Round 2: Late Friday afternoon through Saturday morning.
- Unsure: How much of a lull will occur between the two rounds.
- NWS is still forecasting 2-4” of rainfall with locally higher amounts possible between tonight and midday Saturday.
- We have less confidence in the exact timing and placement of the strongest storms.
- East Baton Rouge Parish (EBRP) is under a Flood Watch through Friday night.
- Round 1: Tonight through Friday morning (midnight tonight through 6AM Friday morning).
- EBR is under a moderate to slight risk of excessive rainfall and a marginal risk of severe weather tonight.
- 1” – 3” of rain with isolated higher amounts will be possible which could lead to flash flooding.
- Round 2: Late Friday afternoon through Saturday morning.
- There is a slight risk of severe weather for EBR.
- 1-3” of rain with isolated higher amounts will be possible which could lead to flash flooding.
