·  Heavy Rain & Severe Weather window - Roughly 6PM tonight thru 8AM Tuesday

·  Coastal flooding - the overnight high tide cycle

·  Small Craft Advisory - through midnight Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Then again Wednesday into Thursday

·  Coastal flooding - East facing shores of coastal parishes/counties of LA and MS

·  Small Craft Advisory - mainly open Gulf waters

CONFIDENCE: We have high confidence that high rainfall rates will lead to at least nuisance flooding of some roads and other low lying/poor drainage areas Monday night into Tuesday morning.  We have less confidence in the exact rainfall totals that will occur and how many storms will become severe.

Impacts:

·  Intense rainfall rates can lead to Flash Flooding and event totals of 3 to 5 inches. There is a low (10%) chance of local amounts of up to 8 inches.

·  In areas that receive the most rain, flash flooding could result in some roads becoming impassable, especially near underpasses

·  Coastal Flooding - around a foot or 2 above normally dry ground during high tide cycles. Some roads may become impassable due to flooding, especially during high tide tomorrow night

·  Severe Weather -  IF any storms become severe, the greatest threat will be damaging wind gusts, but there is also a small (2-5%) chance of a few tornadoes
