- Today – Partly to mostly cloudy skies during the day with gradually increasing rain chances overnight. Otherwise, mild conditions overall.
- Tomorrow – Thanksgiving Day
- Isolated severe storms may develop in the morning hours tomorrow as a cold front moves through. The highest threat is across coastal LA and coastal MS.
- There is a threat level 1 out of 5 risk for a few strong to locally severe storms on Thursday.
- Timing is primarily in the morning hours, with northwest areas between 3AM and 6AM, between 5AM to 9AM for central areas to 8AM through 12PM for coastal southeastern LA and MS. Hazards include hail in any strong or severe storm. Locally strong or damaging wind gusts. Low confidence in storm coverage and intensity.
- A cold snap will bring below average temperatures to the area starting on Friday and continuing into early next week. A light freeze could occur several nights in a row in SW MS and portions of the Northshore and Coastal MS.
