Please see the below weather update and attached slides from the National Weather Service New Orleans / Baton Rouge.

  • There are no significant changes in the forecast except timing will be alittle slower.
  • Timing for EBR is from 9:00 AM this morning through 3:00 PM this afternoon.
  • Threat level: Enhanced to Moderate Risk (3 to 4 out of 5)
  • Main risks: Tornadoes (some strong, long-tracked), damaging winds 70-80mph and large hail >2” in diameter.
  • Flash flood threat for EBR is low – less than 1” of rain is forecasted.
  • The NWS does not anticipate a solid line. The “main line” we reference will likely be a broken line of scattered storms and there could be scattered severe storms ahead of that. However, most if not all of those storms will exhibit rotation and could quickly become severe.
