Magnolia Bridge Rd between Greenwell Springs Road and Livingston Parish!!!
Sorry for your inconvenience! Please be patient and temporarily take another route if needed.
There will be a temporary road closure starting at 11:30am today of Magnolia Bridge, both east and west bound lanes. Central Police Department along with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office Traffic Fatality team are shutting down the roadway for approximately 30 minutes to scan the accident scene from last week's fatal accident that occurred at this location. This is imperative for the accident investigation.

5:15pm UPDATE: ROAD WAS REOPENED APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES AGO.

🚨Magnolia Bridge Road at Greenwell Springs Road
We received a call from our debris truck on Lovett Road stating that they almost got hit by a citizen who was on their phone and came to a skidding stop. Then she got out and cursed at our crew. Come on, people! Get off your phones and pay attention! We are working hard to clean up our city. Today, the crews are picking up piles that the regular trash contractor should have been handling. Once all personnel arrive, they will start picking up storm debris. Please be mindful of these trucks as you travel through the city.
ONE WEEK AWAY!!! Join us for a fun-filled day for the whole family! Shop the Square, with over 65 vendors, takes place from 10 AM to 6 PM, with live music starting at 2 PM and continuing until 8 PM. Enjoy performances by local worship bands, followed by special guests Grace Thompson and Tim Timmons. To close out the evening, get ready for an electrifying show by Sanctus Real! In addition to the music, there will be plenty of activities for everyone: kids’ fitness led by Elevate Fitness, a photobooth, a free class by Body Sculpt Barre Central, a Trunk or Treat, pet adoptions, games, and much more! Don’t forget to grab a bite from the food trucks and enjoy a day of shopping, fun, and community spirit. See you there!
